Meet Hair Expert Imelda Ponce. This native Texan is a creative soul and enthusiast of all things bright and lovely. She lives life whole-heartedly. Avid gardener, world traveler, sushi eater, wife, mother, and beloved grandma are just a few additional facets of Imelda. She has been making the world a more beautiful place with her cuts and color since 1976.

Imelda’s hair-loving journey began at Judson High School in San Antonio, Texas when she invested $9 to enroll in the vocational cosmetology program. She continued her professional education in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles while owning and operating Creative Cuts & Color Salon. Her extensive experience and training garnered master stylist, trainer, and makeup and color specialist certifications from Redken Academy, Schwarzkopf Color, Jon Reneau and Hairuwear Wigs.  

In 2007 Loving Locks was born from Imelda’s heart to help her sister Lily who was diagnosed with breast cancer. In her pursuit to help her sister she discovered how she could use her skills and talent to help people who suffer from hair loss…including herself. You can read more about Loving Lock’s story here.
